Thank you for taking the time to find out more about The Church of the Resurrection and our community. The Church of the Resurrection was established in Fuquay-Varina, NC in 2008. As a new congregation that has recently departed The Episcopal Church, we are in the process of affiliating with The Anglican Mission in the Americas. More information about the Anglican Mission can be found at www.theamia.org. We hope that after you look through our website and attend a worship service, you will consider becoming a more active part of our growing community of faith.
Mission Statement
At The Church of the Resurrection, we have recently adopted a purpose statement to give direction and shape to our ministry:
"To know, worship, and serve Jesus, who is the Resurrection and the life."
How does this high calling and purpose work itself out in the life of our congregation? Our vision is to:

Extend the goodness of God to others

Experience is focused on the individual.
Encourage finds focus within the body/fellowship.
Extend connects us in Christ's name to the community and beyond.
A Community of Faith
Our church is not just about a weekly service on a Sunday morning or an occasional Bible study. We are a community of faith sharing our lives together throughout the week as well.
We Are Followers
Popular culture is in direct conflict with this approach to life, so we find that we need a support group of fellow believers to help us on this journey. That is what our church community is all about. We have people in many different stages of that journey. Whether you're a seeker and not sure what you believe yet, a new believer struggling with your new identity in Christ or a veteran Christian, you'll find others here that you can connect with right where you are.
Our Ministry
Following the Biblical model, The Church of the Resurrection places a high value on relationships and community. God calls us into an intimate, personal relationship with Him through Christ and formed the Church to be His body in the world. The Church, then, is centered on relationships within the community of faith, constantly expanding that community by leading others into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. The Christian community comes together to be spiritually nurtured and to grow in knowledge and love of God during worship. Through worship, we encounter and experience the Living God who is present in and through us as we sing, pray, learn and share in the bread and wine of HolyCommunion and the water of Baptism. Worship allows us to connect in a tangible way with the Lord and each other, which prepares, empowers and equips us to go forth into our mission field – the world.
